A half-hour lecture aimed at players between 500 and 1500 USChess in strength, followed by a USChess-rated tournament game with a G/25;d5 time control.
USChess Membership is required, https://www.berkeleychessschool.org/uscf-membership/. Trophies to the top five at the end of each session.
First family member is full price, additional family members receive a discount. Discounts are applied in the checkout cart.

The Berkeley Chess School holds monthly chess tournaments in Alameda throughout the year. The school also facilitate students’ participation in annual statewide competitions. Tournaments provide the motivation that encourages students to master their games. They develop focus and concentration, celebrate wins, learn from losses, and build confidence in their own abilities. Many say that tournaments are their favorite aspect of the program, because it gives them an opportunity to test and showcase their skills in front of teachers, peers and parents.
