 Unleash child’s energy, coordination, and creative flair in our dynamic Kids Jazz Dance classes! Jazz dance blends high-energy pop music with classic dance techniques, teaching kids sharp turns, big leaps, and expressive rhythm. Our classes focus on building strong core technique, flexibility, and performance confidence in an encouraging, fun environment. It is the perfect mix of structured skill-building and joyful self-expression! 

No dance experience is required.

 What to Wear: Form-fitting athletic clothes (like leggings or tank tops) and jazz shoes or bare feet. 

Teacher:  Gwen Benitez
Ms. Gwen is a celebrated Oakland-based dance artist, writer, and dedicated public elementary school dance educator. With a wealth of classroom experience and a degree in Dance from UC Riverside, she specializes in creating joyful, inclusive spaces where kids can thrive. Ms. Gwen’s high-energy classes combine fun choreography with creative games, helping students build physical coordination, body confidence, and teamwork. She is passionate about using dance as a tool for storytelling, self-expression, and pure fun, making every session an exciting adventure for young dancers!

 Ignite child’s energy, rhythm, and confidence in our high-energy Kids Hip-Hop Dance classes! Designed specifically for children, this fun and vibrant program teaches the coolest street dance basics—including popping, locking, and breakdancing.  Our expert instructors focus on self-expression, coordination, and building physical fitness in a supportive, zero-judgment environment.  

No dance experience is required.

 Key Benefits: Builds coordination, boosts confidence, and provides great exercise!

Teacher:  Skyler Zakaar

Skyler Zakaar is our amazingly talented, high-energy, and super-fun Hip-Hop teacher! With a college degree in dance and tons of professional experience, Skyler is an expert at turning movement into pure joy. Kids absolutely love him because he brings massive excitement to every single class, making sure everyone feels welcome and ready to groove.Here are a few cool facts about Teacher Skyler:

• Real-Life Disney Hero: He was a professional figure skater and actually played Frozone from The Incredibles in Disney on Ice!
• Star of the Stage: He has danced in big music videos, major award shows, and has shared the stage with famous global celebrities.
• Master Creator: He loves kids' fitness so much that he created his very own awesome dance program called Skybeat Kids!
• All-Style Dancer: While he loves hip-hop, he also knows ballet, jazz, modern, and even Haitian dance!
